Biospecific Chemistry

Site-specific conjugation of native biomolecules.

Sequence specific modification of
natural amino acids:

- Search for original environment of a
specific amino acid
- Evaluation it reactivity and behavior
- Optimization of conditions for selective modification

Development of site-specific reaction for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs):
- Screening of libraries of reactive groups
- Optimization of Drug-to-Antibody Ratio (DAR)
- Development of novel specific reagents

ADC

ADC are efficient cancer therapies that combine the targeting specificity of monoclonal antibodies with cell-killing potency of small molecular drugs
.

Development of new techniques for ADC preparation:
- Plasma-stable linkers
- Less laborious drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR) optimisation
- Aggregation of ADC
- Solubility issues of a payload

Tailored traceless linkers for drug-specific release

CD38

Our project focuses on key enzymes of NAD metabolism – Human CD38 and its parasitic homolog SmNACE – as potential therapeutic targets.
Our current aim is the optimization of synthetic specific inhibitors by improving their efficiency and their selectivity CD38/SmNACE
